building documents at a click

The challenge

Short paths are essential in a company where adherence to deadlines is an important success factor. The construction company Dipl.-Ing. Emil Hönninger GmbH & Co. KG must face this challenge daily. Only the use of progressive technologies, innovative construction processes and professional project management guarantee effective and economical planning, designing and building.

The continual change in the construction sector requires a high level of flexibility and reliability. Strict work processes contribute to quick decisions and therefore directly contribute to a high level of economic efficiency. The use of web applications on building sites, e.g. for coordination with architects, site managers and subcontractors, is a particular advantage here.

The process

First of all Next® was connected to the ERP, in order to show all the documents relating to a procedure at the touch of a button. Browser based workflows were introduced for the supplier and subcontractor invoices, to ensure quick feedback and transparent working: After scanning, the workflow starts automatically, which sends the invoices to the electronic inboxes of the relevant departments and employees. The accounting department compiles the invoices, then the receipts are checked using the workflow. A further important point was the archiving of e-mails, to sustainably secure business relevant data and make it retrievable. Archived e-mails can now be shown in the web browser including attachments.

The solution

Together with Hönninger, Nextway consistently develops high quality solutions for process optimisation, which are perfectly tailored to your specific construction requirements. Electronic inboxes with connected workflows ensure quick and transparent invoice processing. The complete integration of Next® into the ERP system especially adapted for Hönninger, enables simple access to the data in the archive at the push of a button. The construction documents and accompanying correspondence are now entered into the intelligent structure of Next®, to make them accessible regardless of place and time and to a larger circle of users. E-mails are saved in the DMS and can be searched for from there.

The result

The construction company Dipl.-Ing. Emil Hönninger says: “It is and remains our aim to maintain the performance and reliability of the company with enthusiastic, responsible and ambitious employees in all areas and on all levels in the future.”

The top technology of Nextway helps Hönninger to achieve this aim every day.
