Mifa Aluminium B.V. is an expert in pressing profiles made of aluminium, which are specially manufactured according to customer requirements. The requirements on the electronic processes are as individual as their products. Nextway’s task is digitally illustrating and improving elaborate authorisation procedures and administration tasks and making the documents available in a central DMS. Step by step, manual processes are to be electronically illustrated, which regulate processing invoices, authorisation of purchasing orders and order confirmations for customers.
Next® was connected to the IT infrastructure of Mifa, meaning that the outgoing documents are transferred directly to the DMS and archived. Incoming documents are scanned, saved in Next® in a revision proof way and, according to type, transferred to electronic workflows for further processing.
The first workflow realised at Mifa was introduced for the electronic processing of incoming invoices. The success of this process optimisation laid the foundations for all further workflow procedures. These regulate and organise the sequences for the customer order confirmations or – in the area of purchasing – the authorisations of investment goods. The workflow processes the purchase order for urgently required production materials completely independently, from the authorisation to the order! The ERP generates the document required for this, which is sent automatically through the authorisation processes of the workflow and at the end, independently activates the order by e-mail, paper or fax depending on the suppliers.
Afterwards, the electronically aided procedure surrounding the outgoing invoices at Mifa was carried out.
Top technology – that is what Mifa and Nextway stand for. Therefore, it was logical for Mifa to entrust their long term DMS partner with the streamlining and renewal of the internal sequences. The whole company benefits from the advantages of the gradual digitalisation of the business processes. Daily administration processes now take only a fraction of the previously required time, and require less and less intervention by the employees. At Mifa a faster Return On Investment is achieved using modern resources, which shows how closely time and cost factors are related.
